Saturday evening saw several of the world’s finest riders gathering at the bottom of the Breckenridge slopestyle course for the final of the first ever Dew Tour Big Air. With the last kicker of the course illuminated and a large crowd gathered below, the action was fairly spectacular.
Despite having put down a switch backside 1440 in the first round of the finals (with a landing that was cleaner than a speed-fiend’s kitchen) Seb Toots couldn’t do enough to keep Mark McMorris snatching it from him by throwing down three backside triple cork 1440s. Sage Kotsenberg’s stylish take on a double cork 10 (complete with a tweaked out Japan grab) while Stale Sandbech’s steezy flat spin earned him third.
