Dark Matter | Travis Rice Drops New Film Trailer

Travis Rice and Elias Elhardt join forces for their new snowboard film

Dark Matter, man. What’s that all about? Something to do with space, right? Or is it the term used to describe the inevitable repercussions faced in the bathroom following a heavy night on the Guinness? Wrong and wrong. Travis Rice is returning to the big screen with his latest film, Dark Matter, dropping just in time for Christmas. Joy to the world.

T.Rice and Elias Elhardt get back in front of the lens of visionary director Curt Morgan and score once in a lifetime conditions at the Tordillo Mountain Lodge, set deep in the remote Alaskan backcountry.

The official teaser, which just dropped, is packed with 60 seconds of the big mountain epicness we’ve all come to expect from a Travis/Curt production. Sure, the Hollywood levels of narrative and slow-mo that could give ol’ Morpheus a run for his money aren’t always to everyone’s liking (is it still too raw to share the Fourth Phase Review again?), but we’ve gotta say, we’re pretty fired up for this one. When the stars align and Travis and Elias find themselves in Alaska in the best conditions witnessed, everybody sits up and pays attention.

In years gone by, giving the gift of Dark Matter was a ropey alibi for turning up empty-handed at Christmas. This year you’ll have the chance to redeem yourself. The full film will be available on Amazon Prime, iTunes and Vimeo on Demand this month.
