A lot of brands are celebrating fairly significant anniversaries this year. Arbor turns 25, while CAPiTA’s Black snowboard of death gets a total revamp for its 20th edition, and then there’s the Dakine Heli Pro Backpack. Possibly one of the most reliable, popular and enduring snowboard products of all time. The backpack of backpacks celebrates its 25-year legacy this coming season.
Used by resort riders, backcountry guides, pros, filmers, and people who’ve never even stepped foot in a pair of snowboard or ski boots before, the iconic series has been updated with an arsenal of new backcountry features, a recalibrated fit, increased durability and recycled materials. Tem riders Kazu Kokubo, Bryan Fox, Jamie Anderson and Louif Paradis get their own signature series again, with gloves or mitts to match.

Speaking of which, 78%of Dakine’s gloves and mitts are now produced with recycled PET and more sustainable fabrics. Not a headline maker in the industry these days (thankfully), but still good to see how every brand is increasing its R&D in sustainability.
