Burton Profile 2017-2018 Snowboard Gloves Review

The value for money offered by the Burton Profile glove goes some way to explain why it’s so popular. It’s not the techiest model you’ll see this year, or indeed on this list – but if you tend to keep your riding within the resort boundaries, it’s got all you need and more.

“The low-profile Thermacore insulation protects you from the cold, and does it without making you all sausage-fingered”

While you can’t take the liners out, in most conditions you won’t want to anyway. Moisture can escape easily, which is perfect for warmer days (or for those of us who suffer from sweaty hands).

The low-profile Thermacore insulation protects you from the cold too, and does it without making you all sausage-fingered. Indeed, the Burton Profile has been engineered with a halfway-house fit that can be used all season long.

Toggles at the wrist let you seal your hand off from the snow, and a handy strap across the top let your adjust the fit. And yes, it’s touchscreen compatible too… These days it’s probably harder to find a pair that isn’t.

So there you have it – simple, reliable tech that keeps the cost down (good for the budget-conscious among us, as well as those who are frequent ‘permanent mis-placers’ of gloves…).

If you prefer a tight, sleek fit around the wrist then it’s also available as an ‘under’ glove, but for a more classic feel and look, the standard Burton Profile is an excellent choice. If you’re not a fan of camo, no worries; there are four other colourways from which to choose
