Hot on the heels of Ben Ferguson’s explosive part, Burton are back with the latest installment of their ‘Burton Presents’ series. This time, we’re treated to some buttery smooth backcountry snowboarding from Mikkel Bang and Mikey Rencz.
With the legendary Jussi Oksanen bowing out of professional snowboarding last season, Mikkel and Mikey, are stepping up to the plate in the stylish, technical backcountry freestyle department, and those are some pretty big boots to fill. Thankfully, these two are no rookies when it comes to sending it into powder, and despite a tricky winter snow wise, have got another incredible part for us to savour.
Featuring some mini-shred, tree runs and pow slashing to get us salivating, it all culminates in the kind of snowboarding we’ve come to expect from these two: slow, poked out spins, classic Mikkel backside rodeos and switch takeoffs and landings all under the sunny skies of one of the best backcountry zones on the planet – Whistler.
If it’s serious backcountry booters and pure style you’re looking for, Rencz and Bang have got all the boxes ticked.
