Why we chose the Burton Lexa X Snowboard Bindings: Little miss Lexa came back from summer break with some X-Rated nip and tuck.
The Burton Lexa has long been heralded as one of the best women’s snowboard bindings ever made. It’s a long-time team and fan favourite, and this year Burton have gone back to the drawing board to release the Lexa X- its supercharged big sister. The Lexa you know and love, with a few choice upgrades to bolster on snow performance and deliver a more aggressive ride.
If the classic Lexa’s are a nice cup of tea, the Lexa X is an Irish Coffee chock full of caffeine and booze, with a tab of acid thrown in for good measure. They’re for high octane snowboarding, balls to the wall sessions on the hill and a wild ride from start to finish.

So what sets the Lexa X apart from its sister in arms? The main difference is found in the new stiffer highbacks and the addition of the Heel Hammock. This nifty bit of kit sits in line with the heelcup and the grippy surface wraps round the back of your boot with a claw like grip. It works both like a suspension system and to eliminate any loss of response, moving with your boot rather than just rubbing against it.
The Lexa X also features Burton’s Double Take Buckles in the toe and heel to speed up the tightening process and to ensure they’ll still lock in if one side happens to ice up.
