45° Carbon Highlights sit underneath the core to bolster torsional response, so while the Fish 3D is flat underfoot, there’s still some dynamic energy to be had driving power to your edges. With its triax fibreglass weave and WFO Sintered base, the Fish 3D can be pretty quick and mean, not in the same way as something like the Custom X, but it can still get up and go pretty sharpish.

The wood in the core is positioned in such a way as to add strength through the toe and heel side for better grip through slightly sketchy conditions, although it doesn’t use Burton’s signature Frostbite technology, but let’s be honest this isn’t a snowboard to be riding when the snow isn’t plentiful.
