Burton Covert 2017-2018 Snowboard Pants Review

The Burton Covert snowboard pants are, much like the matching jacket, a terrific example of serviceable, affordable ‘resort’ wear that will meet the needs of the vast majority of snowboarders.

“The breathability is good for most conditions, and the ‘Living Lining’ reacts to conditions to provide optimum comfort”

Whether you’re looking for a lightweight shell or pants with toasty insulation, you’re sorted either way with the Burton Covert. It’s available as both, with Thermolite on the latter to keep you warm without the need for thermals.

Both versions have fully taped seams, a feature that’s usually found on more expensive fare. As for the waterproofing, the DryRide fabric found on all twelve colourways is rated to 10,000ml.

The breathability is good for most conditions, and the ‘Living Lining’ reacts to conditions to provide optimum comfort. If you’re hiking a line or a park feature then the inner-leg vents prevent you from cooking.

Finished off with a subtle cargo pocket, the Burton Covert is a pair of snowboard pants worth looking at. Like thousands of riders the world over, you might soon be a Covert convert yourself.
