Maybe it’s their Ronseal name. Maybe it’s the fact that there are two different fit options, as well as in tweaked versions for taller or shorter riders. Perhaps it’s the staggering number of colourways available from which to choose (no fewer than thirteen in 2017/18).
Or maybe the reason that the Burton Cargo snowboard pants are so wildly popular is that they have always delivered that winning combination of top performance and decent value.

As the name suggests, these are cargo-style snowboard trousers with roomy pockets halfway down each leg, as well as up top. The elements are kept at bay thanks to Two-layer DryRide material, which also helps sweat escape the skin. It’s aided in this by the inner wicking layer, which draws moisture throughout the day.
The Burton Cargo snowboard pants don’t have much in the way of insulation, preferring to leave that up to you and your layering preferences (which is no bad thing) – check out our How To Layer For Snowboarding guide here. There’s more room to play with in the ‘Classic Fit’ option, but the more form-fitting ‘Mid Fit’ will work too.
