With roots deeply embedded in the pacific northwest, Bonfire know how to create outerwear made to withstand the gnarliest of conditions. From sunshine to snowstorms, the PNW weather can do a 180 in a blink of an eye meaning you’ll need jackets like the Bonfire Elevation to help keep you safe.
Having the highest amount of insulation within the Bonfire Platinum Line, the Elevation jacket’s insulation is made out of a synthetic Polartec Powerfill. With the insulation rating as high as 170G/80G (placed on the body) and 80G (on the sleeves and hood), you are most certainly not going to get cold.
“Made to tackle the coldest of weathers, Bonfire’s Elevation jacket can take on just about anything”
When wearing an insulated jacket on the mountain you want to make sure it can breathe. The 15K breathability rating of the Bonfire Elevation jacket means that even if the insulation will keep the cold air away, it is also capable of letting the moisture that’s been created on the inside to escape – meaning you won’t be nesting in your own bodily fluids.
The Polartec Powerfill insulation used here is made from 100% recycled material. When purchasing a jacket with synthetic insulation that’s been manufactured using recycled material, you’re doing a massive favour to good old Mother Nature. Instead of them ending up in landfill, the plastic bottles used in its creation are given a new lease of life – something that will ultimately help us all to build a greener future.
Durability is key when it comes to sustainability. You want the product to last but you also don’t want it to go out of style. By choosing a timeless design followed by a neutral colourway, we reckon Bonfire have served up a product you could still rock 20 years from now without feeling it belongs to another era.
Made to tackle the coldest of weather, Bonfire’s Elevation jacket can take on just about anything. This is a safe bet if you’re venturing somewhere where it isn’t uncommon to face icy storms but where bluebird days aren’t unheard of either.
