Australia isn’t the first country you’d think of whilst listing powder destinations (though it does have a little-known backcountry scene) – normally it conjures up images of sick park set ups and off-season training sessions.

This year it’s been a little different. With a massive storm cycle bringing in over a metre of powder in one go, the locals are currently having one of the biggest freak outs in memory. Whilst that’d be a pretty decent dump in Europe or the States, the current Ozzy off piste is genuinely all time!
