Behind the scenes of Jeremy Jones’ Further: camera crew heros

Filming out in the most northerly reaches of Norway or in the gnarliest mountains of Alaska is no easy feat – especially when temperatures are 10 or 20 below freezing, there are polar bears wandering around, storms on the horizon and there isn’t a power socket to be seen for hundreds of miles. Here’s an interesting look at the unsung heros of the Further project – the cameramen and production team, who at times had to resort to sleeping with their camera equipment to stop it from developing the technological equivalent of hypothermia and packing in.

We’re loving experienced UK photographer Dan Milner’s appearances in this, including his tale of one of the most challenging ascents he’s ever endured. Being British and all, we were actually expecting a little more complaining, but Dan held it together pretty well by the looks of things. It looks freezing cold, mentally challenging and downright exhausting (a bit like cycling to work then), but still, how rad would it be to get paid to have those experiences?
