Interviews with athletes give us an opportunity to see the other side of how gnarly those huge booters are. From their initial trepidation pre-run, to the elation after stomping a landing, it’s super cool to hear first-hand the journey they take throughout the event.

Considering how many different disciplines are using the same course, it’s imperative that it is designed to perfection. With both freestyle skiers and snowboarders and boarder/ski cross all piling down the same lines, you can’t have too much or too little of anything, so the designers really had their work cut out for them trying to create an energy that had the right vibes for all riders involved.

You get a feel for just how much work the hero shapers put in and how colossal their task is in bringing the plan to fruition.
