UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Bataleon Feelbetter here
There’s a bit of shade thrown to a rival board-builder in the name, but that’s as aggressive as the Bataleon Feelbetter gets. This is an easy-going ride, and no mistake.
“For those still on the first few rungs of the snowboarding ladder, the Bataleon Feelbetter offers an excellent platform that won’t hold you back once you reach a higher level”
The construction is fairly basic – appropriate for the task, and keeping the costs down. The poplar core has two strips of beech wood through it, giving it a bit more ollie power, but overall it’s a fairly soft board. The use of biax fibreglass makes it a bit more playful and forgiving, too.
The Bataleon Feelbetter also features Triple Base Technology. With uplifted side sections of base at either end, you get a less catchy ride without losing the benefits of a full camber profile. When you’re locking in a turn it stays stable, but there’s more room for error if you’ve still not got your edge changes 100% dialed. It’s also great for those looking to try out boxes and rails, either right away or in the not-too-distant future.
For those still on the first few rungs of the snowboarding ladder, the Bataleon Feelbetter offers an excellent platform that won’t hold you back once you reach a higher level. It’s also available as a package with a pair of matching Switchback bindings, so those looking for the lot will struggle to find a better deal.
