Bungee tow-ins are pretty much the must-have thing for any self-respecting urban rider these days. It’s still early days, but it’s no exaggeration to say they’re revolutionising snowboarding in the streets by making it possible to get enough speed for almost any kind of jib – as long as there’s enough space. Gone are the days of having to knock together sketchy wooden drop-in ramps and pump icy ‘pump bumps’ for speed on the way into a rail – now you can just wind one of these babies up and let ’em go! Banshee are the biggest dedicated bungee making company around, so it’s not surprising that when they want to put out an ad, they can call on an all-star team of urban shredders to ride in it. This vid includes the likes of Nick Visconti, Pat Milbury, Jake Kuzyk, Laura Hadar, Jake Olson-Elm and Scott Stevens. So while this is an ad, it’s also a bangin’ short snowboard video, and a testament to what’s now possible with a bit of snow and some urban concrete. I just can’t wait to see what happens in the UK if it snows seriously again this winter…
