Backyard Boogie | Salt Lake City with Griffin Siebert

Nitro Team Rider Griffin Siebert explores his backyard on a snowboard

Snowboarding is fun. Putting together an edit of your snowboarding adventures is fun. Paying shit loads of money for the best cameras and editing programs – not so much. We’re stoked that people are putting so much effort into editing their clips, as it results in us being exposed to rad content. However, sometimes a simple GoPro compilation of your personal season highlights is all it takes for us to get stoked on riding.

“Sometimes a simple GoPro compilation of your personal season highlights is all it takes for us to get stoked on riding”

Nitro Snowboards Team Rider Griffin Siebert decided to skip the fancy editing part and put together a rad simple little edit of his riding footage from 2019.

“Backyard Boogie in its simplest form is just all my GoPro footage from 2019, all of which is filmed just a stone’s throw away from my home in Salt Lake City, UT.” – Griffin Siebert.

Do you remember as a kid when you went to this cinema-like machine in the amusement park where the chairs rocked you around resulting in the illusion of you actually being inside the film? That’s exactly what watching Backyard Boogie will make you feel like. Griffin and his friends take us through the trees and mountains of Salt Lake City, UT, and with the filming being as smooth as it is, this clip makes us think we are right there with them.

“To me these days spent up in the mountains in my backyard are some of my most cherished.” – Griffin Siebert.

If you’ve jumped on the ‘Dry January’ wagon, we’d suggest you might want to go and spend all that money you’ve saved as a result from not drinking, and put it on a GoPro instead. Even if the final outcome of your edit won’t earn you the next ‘Gimbal God’ title, you’ll have a rad time looking back at the footage when you’re sat in a rocking chair at 80-years-old, knitting Rupert, your obese cat, his 53rd jumper.
