The legendary Arctic Challenge went down last weekend and we have the results and video highlights here.
The level of riding this year was at an all time high and last years world champion Louri “iPod” Poladtchikov who took the win with A huge frontside 900, followed by a backside 900 mute, frontside 1080 tailgrab and with the final hit of a giant cab doublecork 1080 mutegrab, a run which gave him a total score of 90.2 points!
There was a shock, with the Chinese wildcard Yiwei Zhang taking second place ahead of Ayumu Hirano. This can only make us think what have the Chinese got in store for the Olympics?
In third place was the Japanese prodigy Ayumu Hirano. This kid is only 14 years old and is making a massive impression on the snowboard world. We will definitely continue to see more from him and only time will tell how good he can actually get.
