We could sit here and write a 1000+ word essay on why the FIS shouldn’t be running snowboard events but this course preview video from the recent World Cup slopestyle event in Cardrona, NZ (which Jenny Jones absolutely bossed btw) definitely helps do it for us.
Aside from the perhaps forgivable sins of using iMovie’s lens flare text effect and a song that we actually had to pause at one point to check if we had a random shouty popup playing in the background, the real crime here is filming and editing a course preview that largely consists of riders doing straight airs over a tiny wallride, 50-50s and other totally uninspiring warm up tricks that your average dome kid do with his/her eyes closed.
Is this honestly what they think snowboarders want to see in an edit?
