New for this season, Analog’s Ballard Jacket comes in four different colourways that are slightly toned down from last year’s neon green vibes. That said, the line is still more fashionable than your average outerwear product, and if you want to stand out in the crowd, the Analog Ballard jacket is your best bet.
Burton’s Dryride fabric is designed to be breathable, waterproof and quick-drying. The shell has a 10K/10K waterproof/breathability rating, so you’ll do just fine wearing it on a wet day in the resort. However, if you’re looking for something to tackle the backcountry with, you’re better off focusing on a jacket with a higher rating.

When the temperatures drop, the regular fit allows you to throw some extra layers underneath. The fit allows for some extra space, so even when layering up, you won’t feel bulky or restrained when moving about. And if things start to get heated, simply go ahead and open the armpit vents to get a nice breeze.
The contour hood is also helmet-compatible, with a front and rear adjustment that makes it easy to adjust according to your helmet. The hood isn’t the only thing adjustable here, the cuffs are as well – allowing for an even more customised fit.
The removable waist gaiter is another great feature when you want to avoid any snow from getting in. It will if attached to the pants with the ‘jacket-to-pant’ interface, work even better when it comes to keeping the snow out.
Even if marketed as a men’s jacket in the catalogue, the Ballard jacket, together with the rest of the Analog line, are more or less unisex. The size range goes all the way from XXS to XXL.
The model in the photo is 6’3” (190cm) tall and wearing size L.
