Alpine skiing is amazing isn’t it? One of the fastest non-motorised sports, athletes hurtle down icy courses at breakneck speeds, turning through corners on a knife edge; it’s sometime breath-taking to watch.

But other times it’s hilarious. Some genius has tastefully (ahem) put together a compilation of the funniest crashes from the 2010/11 race season and there are some absolute gems in there. The best has to be the four-woman skier X pile up at 5.20, skip to it if you must but you’ll be missing out on some other amazing downhill crash action.

We’d never laugh to hard at serious injuries, but luckily it seems that most of the skiers featured here were able to walk away unscathed. Mostly…
