Hold onto your knickers, and get ready for take-off, because the Audi Nines are officially back! Mark it in your diaries folks, 7th-10th April 2021, it’s all systems go in Crans-Montana.
Crossing the border into Switzerland for the 2021 iteration, we’re pumped to see the course preview and what crazy shit the athletes (fon)due this year. They’ve assembled crack team of snowboarding’s pedigree, we’ve got seasoned vets going head-to-head with young up and comers, all of them chomping at the bit for a slice of that sweet Audi Nines pie.
“We’re stoked and incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to pull this event off in these difficult times,” says Audi Nines founder Nico Zacek. “For us, this year is about the camaraderie, fun and progression of a classic spring session, as a reminder to us all why we love what we do.”
Operating on a smaller scale this year thanks to COVID restrictions, but more ambitious in design than ever, as they say, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog”. If 2019’s event was anything to go by, we’re in for a real bobby dazzler!
