Most people find the frontside boardslide harder than the backside version, but not massively so. It’s also an absolute classic – up there with the method, the backside 180 or the backside rodeo – so it’s well worth having a go at.
1) Approach with the rail to your frontside (this is what makes it an FS boardslide) at a decent speed.
2) Pop onto the rail and spin your board round 90 degrees. Turning your shoulders the other way helps – imagine you’re doing a backside shifty.
3) Keeping your board totally flat (you don’t want to snag now) slide to the end of the rail – keeping your eyes on it will help you keep your body position – then just pop off and bring your board back round to regular.
